In 2016, the eyes of the world turned to Boston as 200 of its greatest figure skaters came to TD Garden to compete for the prized title of world champion. The ISU World Figure Skating Championships®, the world's most important annual skating competition, came to Boston for the first time in its 130-year history.

The Skating Club of Boston's Organizing Committee is proud to have locally hosted the World Figure Skating Championships. Thank you to all the skaters, federations, staff, volunteers and organizations involved. Thank you to TD Garden for their amazing hospitality. And, a huge "thank you" to the International Skating Union and U.S. Figure Skating for their wonderful expertise and guidance in creating and planning the World Championships. Perhaps most importantly, we thank the fans for supporting figure skating with their generous attendance numbers. Every group, no matter how small, was instrumental in making the event the best World Figure Skating Championships ever.
